Almost too cool for it's own good. The camerawork on this deserves so much more attention.

Bo got robbed for a best director nom. Good laughs. Most watchable movie of the year.
Honorable Mentions:
The Favourite
Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos
Yorgos continues being the most interesting director of my time.
*this would've been top 3 easily if I would have seen it sooner smh
A Quiet Place
Directed by John Krasinski
An amazing debut by Jim. Most fun I had in the theater this year.
Roma
Directed by Alfonso Cuaron
Had to include this because film twitter would probably make me serve 25 to life if I didn't. It's also an amazing movie and you need to see it. On Netflix.
Sorry To Bother You
Directed by Boots Riley
Investors/Producers read this script then proceeded to say, "Yes, we will give you millions of dollars for this idea." Glad they did. Deserved a best pic nod.
Searching
Directed by Aneesh Chaganty
Low-key one of the most important movies made in 2018. Doesn't make a spectacle of how "Asian" it is, just casted perfectly and lets the filmmaking speak for itself. Thrilling.
*that's no ill will towards "CRA", chill man
1. Annihilation
Directed by Alex Garland
This one stayed with me all year. One I will remember for my lifetime. Unforgettably gorgeous and thought provoking. Look for it on Amazon Prime. Fin.
